Up for grabs eight (8 - two sets of 4) skids/bumpers/motor guards designed to absorb drop and crash forces and protect the bottom of your FPV drone frame, bolt heads, motors, and arm ends. Made of PLA+ (rigid/hard) or TPU (rubbery/tear and slash resistant). TPU black ones have more shock absorption but PLA+ ones it's easier to skid the drone with.
They make skidding, sliding, and skating your drone now possible! You can skid under cars, slide down roofs, and skate on frozen ponds,etc.
These also make landing hugely easier because they provide clearance for the props with the ground. So, even if when landing you're many degrees off from level whichever skid touches first will keep that prop from scraping the ground. This prevents the flight controller from freaking out and overcompensating leading to unwanted flips. Then, because of the spherical shape the frame will tend to be rotated by the contact towards a parallel angle with the landing surface.
Typically, people use foam pads placed on the arm undersides inwards a bit, but that's worse than just doing nothing at all:
They don't improve landing because they squish, increasing the angle with the ground surface. The foam is too weak and gets squished flat by crashes and drops not preventing any damage to the underside and the bolts heads there. The foam is not tall enough either and has to be placed too inward on the arms so almost no clearance with the ground for the props. Can't skid or skate the drone with the foam pads either.
Also, to keep them on you will end up having to superglue and then there will be very annoying residue to grind off when in not too long they just get completely sheared off by a hit.
